Who we are
This website (https://theshadelessemperor.com) is the official website of The Shadeless Emperor, a band based in Larissa, Greece. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact us at theshadelessemperor@gmail.com.
What data we collect and why
Contact form. When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to reply to you. Messages are sent to our email inbox and are not stored on the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Spam protection. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical data (such as IP address and browser information) to tell humans from bots. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Statistics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (for example pages visited, device type and approximate location). Google Analytics runs only after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through “Manage consent”. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Embedded content. Our pages include music from Bandcamp and videos from YouTube. Videos are shown as a preview image, and the YouTube player loads only when you press play. The Bandcamp player on the Music page loads from Bandcamp’s servers. When you use embedded content, the provider may collect data and set its own cookies according to its own privacy policy.
Server logs. Our hosting provider automatically records technical data (such as IP address, date and time of the request and browser type) in server logs, for security and to keep the website running.
Who we share data with
- NetSpace – website hosting (servers in Greece)
- Google – Google Analytics and YouTube
- Cloudflare – Turnstile spam protection
- Bandcamp – music player
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards, as described in their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep data
Contact form messages are kept in our inbox only as long as needed to handle your request. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at theshadelessemperor@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
